The least prestigious manga localization awards, 90% satire, and 100% good times.
Conceived in 2021, the Screentoneys celebrate the uncelebrated. There were no awards that manga localization professionals could win, and so the Awards Committee decided to create an award that anyone could win.
The American Manga Awards started up in the ensuing years, and the Awards Committee is very happy to see illustrious Screentoney Recipients getting even more industry awards.
But how do I win a Screentoney?
To be named in the upper echelon of manga localization professionals, you must be nominated. Anyone can nominate anybody for anything, and the Awards Committee encourages nominating people you have worked with, people you admire, and yourself.
The Nomination Period begins sometime in March, and ends sometime in June, weather permitting. Refresh this internet web page once per hour on the hour for updates, or follow Screentoneys on Bluesky: https://bsky.app/profile/screentoneys.com.
